Privacy notice (interim)

Manchester Commerce is a chamber-of-commerce effort in formation. This notice will be revised once the 501(c)(6) entity is formed and a board is seated; a future version will name the controller, jurisdiction, and data protection officer. Until then, this is the data-handling commitment under which we're operating during founding conversations.

What we collect

When you register as a founding member, we collect your name, email, business name, and role. Authentication identity is provided by Clerk; membership records live in our Payload database on Neon.

Why

To operate founding conversations, send progress updates, and provision platform access. Nothing else.

What we don’t do

  • No resale of your data.
  • No sharing with third parties beyond the service providers listed below.
  • No advertising tracking or behavioral profiling.
  • No analytics that identify individuals.

Service providers

These platforms see parts of your data because they handle parts of how the platform operates:

  • Clerk— identity and authentication. (privacy policy)
  • Vercel— application hosting; processes platform requests. (privacy policy)
  • Neon— managed Postgres database. (privacy policy)
  • Resend— transactional email delivery. (privacy policy)
  • Cloudflare— DNS, the public landing site, and file storage. (privacy policy)
  • Sentry— error monitoring and diagnostics; may incidentally capture data present in an error's context. (privacy policy)

Your data, your call

You can request deletion of your data at any time. During this interim phase, the mechanism is direct — email hello@manchestercommerce.org and we'll act on it. A self-serve flow is on the post-launch roadmap.

Changes

We'll log changes here, dated, when this notice is revised. The “Last revised” date at the top reflects the current version.
